These are some findings about the Urban governance from the document- Sustainability discussion paper. This section in introduction indicates that although the way we connect with each other change a lot over past the 50 years, there is less social connection among organized group. Nowadays, communities want more opportunities to say and more right to participate the decision-making. Secondly, the city has faced many complex policy and planning issues. It is important to make the public understand these issues and public debates. The project of Climate Adaption Citizens’ Panel in 2014 shows the outcome from the interaction between the public and relevant departments. The city decision making must be fair, open and transparent. The city should increase the decision-making participation by the public and aware the public that they right to know what is happening in the city. And the city opens new channels for listening to the public and their suggestions. The city already recognizes the weakness of fighting individual; therefore, collaboration is essential. The city of Sydney has already done some work for good governance. In the sustainable Sydney 2030, keeping researching the social needs of community through regular residents’ surveys and biannual report. Secondly, the city of Sydney holds different aspects of seminars for community. Facilitating participation and convening panels to transferring suggestion of the city`s policies, programs and services. The city of Sydney also provides easy accesses for the public to information and opportunities to have their say.
