This is the comments about the social
sustainability discussion paper for weekly journal in aspect of inequality. The
city of city recognizes that the city, whose economic growth is able to
benefits most of citizens and the people have various accesses to affordable
essential services, can be identified as an inclusive city. The social justice play
an important role in the plan of building an inclusive city by city government.
In economic aspects, the city of Sydney encourages the investment of business
and the builds up their own business. Also, the government emphasizes the
importance of building up the relationship between business and sustainability,
which is important for social sustainability. The main unequal problem for the
Sydney is housing problem and affordable services. The local government recognizes
that housing is a serious and significant problem which is associated with equal
opportunities for education, employments and public facilities. Keeping diverse
housing for all income levels is the ambition by the city of Sydney. One of principles
for building up an inclusive city is empowering the local communities and the
local government is quite like supervised institute and provides the suggestions.
the serious problem faced by Sydney is that the lack of affordable housing drives
the homelessness, and this phenomenon increases the gap between the rich and
the poor increasing the inequality.
